Grandparent's Day

 

We are excited to welcome Grandparents and Grandfriends to Rose Park on the morning of October 1st (see schedule in the image above). We plan to have some treats available for Grandparents to enjoy in the library - if you would be willing to volunteer or provide treats please take a look at the sign up genius!

Fall Parent Teacher Conferences

Conferences will be held on October 8 and 10 this year.  Due to a smaller class this year,  I will only be holding conferences on the 8th.  

If your family can not make this date work please reach out to me and we can schedule to get together on the 10th during conference hours.

Scheduling conferences will be done through Virtual Paragon. You will be receiving directions to register once it has been open to families.  Conferences will only be 10 min and we will be going over your students Social Emotional skills during this time.  Academic skills are in the weekly progress report.  If you have questions or concerns about academic skills please reach out prior to conferences so we can connect.

MAP Testing

This week we will be taking our first MAP (measurement of academic progress) testing in both Reading and Math.
This is a standard test that is used as one of the many tools that help us measure your kindergarteners growth. We will be doing this assessment again in the Winter and then again in the Spring.  You will be able to view your students results at the end of Kindergarten.

Library

 

Every Monday we will be heading to our school library as part of our Reading Workshop.  Students will hear stories and be able to borrow 2 "good fit" books.  These books will be sent home that day and need to be returned the following Monday.  

I have a special bin for returned books that your student will be able to put them once they are returned.
